Unlimited by Age - HIPHOP'S UNSPOKEN AGE LIMIT.
This has been a known underlining fact in the hiphop world, that the musical genre is plagued with a age cap or Age LIMIT. WHY? No one can really come up with the answer except that those that listen to hiphop, the more urban fans don't seem to gravitate to older rappers. Even if they once were one of their biggest fans of the artist in the past they tend to not check for this artist after a few years.
Forced retirements is what many talented artist are faced with from labels as they usually have a record drop sell and move on mentality. Once they push you for the designated time the labels push on. Leaving many talented older artist on the sidelines of the rap/ hiphop game.

Are these artist less talented? NO.
It is just the fickle nature of the hiphop fans that has to change. YES.

It is very rare for an artist to get a age pass in the hiphop world, yes a few have gotten them and it could be because they are superior at the craft of making ageless hits etc.
JAY -Z is a prime example of one of the artist that has knocked out father time and his retirement clock. ( we know JAY-Z can spit) but if you look or start examining his career which we have and you can read that write up here later. You will notice that not one factor is clear on why he was chosen over shall we say it NAS or LL COOL J or other rappers that have had the rhyme skills swag or lady support in COOL J'S case.
Some of the artist that have seemed to have gotten the very exclusive AGE PASS - are
JAY-Z , SNOOP DOGG, ANDRE 3000, JEEZY, KANYE, BUN B AND E-40 - if you look at this list you will not see any particular reason that specifically shows a format on why these artist are able to reach across a decade or more of music fans. We would have to just chuck it under the
(BECAUSE IT WORKS CATEGORY) but we must all as HIPHOP FANS or should I say
REAL HIPHOP FANS not forget our past just because we have the New, because it is our past that helps us create the new. We have more then enough room especially for great music and as we all get older it won't hurt us to grow with the artist that help fuel the fun of our youth.
